Exceptional Performances By Pankaj Tripathi - The Living Legend #Cinetalk

Pankaj Tripathi's exceptional craft of acting have become very apparent.

Pankaj Tripathi has been struggling in the industry since 2004 and only now in the era of Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hotstar and OTT he is getting his due.
To celebrate his struggle I listed some of Tripathi's exceptional performances that you need to see -

1. In GANGS OF WASSEYPUR as Sultan Qureshi

Anyone who has ever watched this Anurag Kashyap directed film feels blessed they have. Extraordinary storytelling mixed with unforgettable performances makes Gangs Of Wasseypur one of Bollywood's best movies to date. What's remarkable is that even in a cast full of some fabulous actors, Tripathi is noticed only because he is a great actor. The ruthlessness he brought to Sultan is truly commendable.

2. In MASSAN as  Sandhya Ji

Pankaj Tripathi's portrayal of a friendly but a man who still isn't confident around women not only impresses but makes you smile with the humility showcased. He might have less than ten minutes on screen but his impact as Safhya Ji who manages to become friends with Richa Chadha hits home.Pankaj Tripathi knows how to be noticed, if you don't have the luxury of substantial screen time.

3. In BAREILLY KI BARFI as

Narottam Mishra

we are so glad for Pankaj Tripathi's Narottam Mishra who brought us a liberated, empathetic, and sensitive on-screen dad, while the portrayal of oppressive father was alive in bollywood for a long time. Here was a father who allowed his daughter to live a life she wanted on her own terms and shielded her from her mother's pressure to get married, how refreshing!

4. In FUKREY as Pandit

Tripathi's Pandit from Fukrey will not only delight you but convert you into a bigger fan of the actor. Whether it was how he peppered his dialogues with English words like “disgusting”, “vulgar” and “cheating” or simply act all righteous when he's far from that, Pankaj Tripathi's Pandit is sure only of his best.

5. In MIRZAPUR as Akhandanand Tripathi

Not only is Pankaj Tripathi the boss in the storyline but his stellar performance makes it the top reason to watch this crime-filled masterful show.

6. In NIL BATTEY SANNATA as Principal Shrivastava

Tripathi plays the role of a schoolmaster with such sincerity and incorporating mannerisms like an upright posture, sarcastic taunts, and that glare of a teacher that we can't help but think of our school principal. The Film revolves around a single mother going back to school to inspire her daughter to focus on her board exams, it is Shrivastava who quietly forms the backbone of this unlikely winner of a story.

7. In STREE as Rudra

Pankaj Tripathi masterfully plays his part to perfection proving yet again that humor is effortlessly his forte. He is in top form in this horror comedy film .

8. In NEWTON as

CRPF commandant Atma Singh

Newton was undoubtedly a brilliant yet devastating film that Indian audiences didn't want but need. With minimal drama and devoid of any glamour, the film allows its actors to shine. Pankaj Tripathi played his character, the area's CRPF officer Atma Singh to cinematic perfection that earned him a National Award special mention.
