Mirzapur Season 2 | Review | Pankaj Tripathi | Shweta Tripathi |

I won't spoil a single thing here, but I need to state that Mirzapur Season 2 is far better than the first instalment. Yes, the first season had more events, more plot jerks and twists, and even some fantastic performances. But the second season takes the narrative to a much deeper paradigm, with some intense character developments. This season is more personal, and it gives greater insights regarding the reasons why each of the characters do what they do. We get to a know a fairer side of Munna, while interacting with a greyer shade of Golu. We are introduced to a plethora of new players in the game, who becomes all the more important by the time the season comes to a close.

Mirzapur Season 2 is a much darker rendition of the universe of Mirzapur, with a deeper comprehension of the political paraphernalia intertwined with the world of felony, arsony and gangwars. Though it's a fictional account, it has acute resemblance to current socio-political situations in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar regions.

While the first season of Mirzapur was like a best-selling crime narrative, the second one reflects an immersive experience catering to the points explaining why the best-seller became one of such an immense stature. Looking forward to the next season, and with a lot of expectations.

P.S. Don't miss the post-credit sequence.
